"In Pennsylvania, the Utica wet gas window is in four western counties: Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer, and Crawford."

A friend saw that CHK is moving in more big tanks to the Thompson pad. He thought they were marked 'fresh water', but that doesn't make much sense to me. They have a fresh water pond there.  The first leg of the gathering lines is near completion. Maybe a dehydration plant taking shape in the near future at the Thompson site?   Take heart, I truly believe there is more than dry gas here, how much more I don't know tho.

As I have stated numerous times , Shell's Patterson wells still remain to be turned in line and a pipeline runs smack beside them........? Think maybe they are into some wet gas and maybe oil...........? Gee , I wonder......;-)

I’m not so sure. The Thompson site has been online for close to, if not over, a year. No reporting of any condensate, and only a few (<10) barrels of oil. We’ll see when the other wells come online, hopefully soon.

Plus, from what I understand, the dehydration facilities are for removing water from the gas, and the condensate is removed through other methods. And CHK already has plans for, or already has, a dehydrator at Thompson, and nothing else as of yet.

Thompson Dehydration Facility

They can't get the gas to market without removing the condensate, or the water, so at the very least the lateral they drilled at Thompson is dry (and by dry I mean only water and that is why they have installed a dehyrdrator to remove the water). If there were liquids I'm guessing they would have had to permit for some other facility there, which I haven't seen and can't find. My guess is same for Tharp and Burdick, because if they needed to remove condensate before market something would have to be installed already. But I won’t claim to be an expert either.

John, All I can say is: If you can, find out if CHK is still producing and selling from the Thompson well right now. A little birdie told me they got shut off from Dominion for a reason that is good for us. How good, I don't know. I did notice on a check stub from CHK that the BTUs of the gas sold was higher than what is liked for natural gas. That tells me there are at least some liquids there.

We will soon know what is going on with the well when we identify the equipment they are going to install as soon as they possibly can, as well as the trucks that will be frequenting the site.

Keep the faith!

Interesting! Wonder what they will find at the Wall site on Damn Hill..........? I'm only a mile and a half tops from there. Does CHK report to the public flow rates and the like on all their wells after completion? Anxious to hear about this one!

Called CHK yesterday to check on the status of the units I'm in. Tharp well first day of sale was 9-26-12. Burdick 9-28-12. Should be seeing something from CHK soon for production numbers.

When they started selling from the Thompson well, the unit folks didn't get a check for three months, but it did cover 3 months. Last week I could hear the equipment running at Thompson so, yes they are selling again. When you get your first check I'd be interested in seeing what they list the BTU's of the gas they are selling, if you don't mind posting it. That will also been when you as a unit holder will see production numbers.
