does anyone have an update on the DNR's lack of posting production reports?
better yet, anyone reading this from the DNR - please tell the good people of Ohio (your bosses) why the delay - and when you expect to produce some production reports.
maybe it's not a big deal, maybe the oil companies were late, maybe they are under staffed, maybe the info isn't worth much to anyone.......but maybe the DNR could at least fill us in with a public statement.

gosh - i always thought i was a patient man, not sure what happened.
Permalink Reply by bo boboski on May 12, 2013 at 2:14am What the FRAC? IMO, I always thought that Patience is a kin to Laziness. Or at least a good excuse for slow-ass,lazy people. Don't do today what you can put off till tomorow, or next month! Don't worry, everyone else can wait. You see it on the highways, you see it at the workplace. If everyone else was ,"patient" , then nothing would ever get done in a reasonable amount of time!

Permalink Reply by The Hiker on May 12, 2013 at 12:43pm Thanks for the link. I get a real kick out of Tom Stewart's quotation:
"Drillers, who fought for annual reporting, instead of monthly or quarterly requirements, would be fine with quarterly reporting under the right conditions, Mr. Stewart said. Those conditions include not reporting the specifics of what comes out of their wells, he said."
Doublespeak. "We're in favor of reporting, as long as we don't have to report anything". How can these people say BS like this and expect to get away with it?

Permalink Reply by The Hiker on May 13, 2013 at 1:02am Any relation? Interesting that Tom Stewart instead of Matt has been giving out the press releases on this ODNR project. From Matt's background, it would seem that he (not Tom) would be all over this subject, educating, informing and explaining the situation to the public. It's a mystery. Don't you think that it would be good "communications" for him to write a paragraph or two on this site for the benefit of all the interested landowners? I do.

Like Joseph-Ohio stated "landowners have no lobbyists". Still!
Permalink Reply by Booger on May 13, 2013 at 10:41am wouldn't hurt to write a letter and make a phone call........probably wouldn't help either but hey, it only takes a minute.
there is a letter format and a phone number on this thread......be a lobbyist.
you can e-mail a letter to oilandgas@dnr.state.oh.us

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
