USA Internet Radio Show

I am working on bringing our discussions to the ether of the internet.

The format will be a talk program where people from GMS can call in and discuss issues we see on GMS. You will be able to call in and discuss your favorite issue.

This will give us an opportunity to flesh out, in real time, the discussions we see on GMS.

We would also invite guests, and have them available for questions.

I thought initially we would do this once a week to gauge the interest level. We will have 2 or 3 hours of time.

What I need to know is if this is of interest to you and what night of the week works. Plus what time, I'm thinking 9 or 10 in the evening.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I think it is a great idea, and your efforts are greatly appreciated.  I will support you and this organization in whatever way I can.  I am not home very much - but I do what I can to spread the message (the truth about this new shale play here in NE Ohio) and I try my best to dissuade the extemist Anti-Frackers with facts.  I have won some and lost some.

It's funny you mention a theme song, I was wondering if I could add music to the show some how. Blue Suede Shoes would be funny.

I think this is worth a try. I would recommend specifying a topic for each segment to keep folks focused. I also think 1 1/2 hours would be more than enough time, especially if you plan to start anytime after 8 pm.

Ron,

Music always sets the mood.

I'm a fan of jazz, just need to figure out how to plug everything into the system together.

This is a "cheap" way to broadcast, not too many bells and whistles. The way I look at this is let's roll it out as a work in progress. Hopefully, we age like fine wine, we only get better.

I can schedule blocks by the hour. I'm not sure if an hour would be enough. Two might be too long.

I have not planned on a starting time I'm still looking for suggestions. It appears that many of our posters start after eight, maybe eight is a good time to start.

I agree that each program should have structure around a subject. However in the begining it may be a little more free flowing until we get everything worked out.

We could also expand to two nights a week, one night of structure and one night of "open lines"

I would like to keep connected with GMS. So prior to each program we could take suggestions for a topic. That will give me time to organize or bring in  a guest etc.

At this point I'm still working on the logistics. Hopefully we can take a test drive in the next week to ten days.

It's a work in progress. Just as GMS has given us all a voice this will hopefully expand the experience.

sounds lke a really good idea maybe a format of covering a featured county to get a real time devolpment of that area WOW  could be endless very exciting GREAT IDEA mark

As we get our feet firmly planted we will expand to more programs per week. This would allow a County report. Or maybe as part of the program I could spend 5-10 minutes on the county of the week.
