Finished drilling the 13th. Pipeline to go just over a mile to tie in to existing grid. ROW has been clear cut since march, utilities have been moved but the actual line has not been started yet.

how do you know they are done drilling?any idea how deep.not fracking yet??
I.m part of the drilling unit and they took the rig down this past tues. They went to 10300-10500 ft for Utica
does the wells look good ? promising? what happens next.9. xto has a good reputation.
Correct, one Utica and one Marcellus. This is/was an exploratory site. Should go along way in defining The Utica's viability this far east. Of course the info wont be public for a long time unless they choose to release it. XTO has been top notch through out the whole process, thus far.
Have heard that, but not anymore than hearing it. I'm in Switzerland TWP
looking good???what comes next?? so confusing for common people like me..
I have a question *raises hand and waves it*
Look at the well map here, http://www2.dnr.state.oh.us/website/dog/oilgasviewer/index.html , and zoom in to, for example, the Antero Wayne well(s), which are located just SW of Senecaville Lake, along the west side of Rt 566 just north of Rt 147. (Rt 147 crosses the southern part of the lake).
Wayne 3HA, 2H, and 4H appear to all be lateral branches on the same wellpad and they all aim toward the southeast, so landowners whose property is over all of them I would guess get royalties from all three? That would total 5,852 + 5,698 + 4,257 = 15,807 BOE. That is a huge number. It looks like the land that is pooled would be about 500 acres, more or less, not sure what all parcels were included or if all parts of all parcels were included.
Is this the correct interpretation, that royalties would come from a total of 15,807 boe?
Thanks,
Carl
It depends on how they drew the units. But yes, there is potentially a scenario where there is a landowner whose property stretches across all laterals and is subject to royalty from all three wells.
Are you saying that it is possible for a lateral to run under property but the property doesn't get royalties from that lateral?
Thanks!
"Are you saying that it is possible for a lateral to run under property but the property doesn't get royalties from that lateral?

No, what I meant was that within a 640 acre block of land a company might actually make four separate 160 units or make one 640 acre unit. It depends on how they declare the unit size and shape. CHK has a number of smaller units that are densely packed next to one another but drilled from the same pad. It's all about how the operator wants to se things up and what they believe is the most beneficial to them.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
