Just curious...
I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Permalink Reply by Larry Linder on November 25, 2013 at 3:10pm I have seen a pipeline marked "petroleum" going across Thornbottom Creek Road and State Road in Farmington Township.
Anywhere they're getting oil out of the shales by fracing horizontal wells, there was a smaller amount of oil being produced with earlier completion technology. If there was oil in commerical amounts in the Tioga County shales we would have known it years ago. Let's be glad we have gas and not ask for too much more!

Permalink Reply by Ann Ticopa on November 26, 2013 at 7:09am Last Thursday, what looked like a rig section came into Mansfield on Rte 6 from the East. There was also a wide-load sign PU sitting along Rte 549 (with flashing sign) a mile or so up 549 (for south-bound traffic).
Parts of TC are looking abandoned, staging areas empty and businesses closed down.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
