A recent study shows that High Volume Hydrolic Fracturing uses 25% less water than conventional wells when figured per MCF of gas produced. More facts for the antis to hate and ignore.

In fact, when the NG from a shale well id burned it will produce twice he waer used in the fracturing process.
When burned a molecule of NG (methane) wil produce one moecule of CO2 and two molecules of H2O (water) in the form of water vapor.
So the argument the antis use about shale development using a finite resource (water) is false. Gee isn't that a surprise the antis spreading false information.
BTW CO2 is not a green house gas, more misinformation that the antis spread.
Thanks for the post Jim.
it will produce water? we best reign that pollution in.

Start asking people if they are aware that the oil and gas industry uses this evil compound. Usually they ask what itt is then all you have to do is what the woman in the video did be honest.
I've done this and it is a lot of fun.
Permalink Reply by Nancy LeNau on January 26, 2014 at 5:45pm Thanks Mark.... I have had a lot of FUN with H20 .in the past but I can see a lot more coming !

Thanks, very funny.
Sadly the people in the video are a good example of anti shale folks.
Permalink Reply by Jim Litwinowicz on January 27, 2014 at 3:30am The people in the video are a good example of most of the people in the US...... sheep easily led to slaughter. Few people read newspapers or watch the news. They get their "news" from the likes of Letterman, Leno, Stewart, and other entertainment venues.
And it ain't just the poor or uneducated. I know people that are college grads with master's degrees that make over 100K/yr that don't get a paper or watch the news.

Those successful, educated people are the most dangerous. People assume they know what they're talking about. This is how the rumors against shale development gain traction.
Youngstown is a perfect example, the folks behind the anti shale charter amendment are educated, two are college teachers. So people assume that what they are saying must be true.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
