High offers to buy minerals

I have been hearing of companys offering $12000, $13000 even $15000/ acre to buy mineral rights. So far I haven't been able to find out who is making these offers. If you've received an offer in this range could you please tell me who made it? Thanks.

I have a question here...are you guys talking the leasing of mineral rights or are talking about selling the royalties after you have leased......

Last week in the mail I received an interesting offer to buy some of my mineral rights.  Interesting in the fact that it came with a contract and a check for the full amount.  It was a lowball offer but I bet it is effective for them with including the check.  It was from Vine Royalty and for $4000 an acre in Monroe County Ohio.

I agree - seems to be another "method" of trying to find the suckers.  I'm confident forums like this have done a great job letting everyone know those methods are the best options out there.

I agree. it's confusing enough without those idiots out there trying to scam people. It makes it hard for honest local guys to help people. I love it when they check me out!

even you legit companies do not do their homework on titles.....it is sad that people take advantage of hard working people and then blame them when it does not pan out or them...

makes me believe they don,t now what their doing. In november got that contract and fake check from vine . last week got a other one from them but for half the amount and from texas in stead of pa. different signature too same vine royalty .

Sam,  what area in Monroe are you in?  I received one of those offers for twice the per acre price a couple of weeks ago.   My research lead to the result that Vine sells it off to Buckeye Minerals and Royalties which is actually Eclipse Resources.   This Buckeye and Eclipse have the same address in State College, Pa.

The Monroe County Beacon listed six transfers from Vine to Buckeye.

This property was leased to Eclipse and was in Adams Twp. Double the amount would have resulted in a little less laughter but not much.

My property is also leased to Eclipse and I laughed too when I opened the letter.  I am on the riverfront where there should be two and perhaps three formations that will produce.
