The construction of the last leg of this pipeline is well under way now. From Roy D to Muehller to Riffle to Weaver to Hartz and to Mellenger. Pipe near Roy D is actually being welded. I have seen pipe on the ground all the way to Riffle and beyond recently. The only well I have not seen any activity acutally at the pad is Mellenger. I suspect that the work being done near Hartz which is quite close to Mellenger will include Mellenger eventually. I suspect a smaller pipeline from Mellenger over to a shared Pig launcher at Hartz. We have seen this at Roy D and Mrugala and also earlier on this same pipeline route they used smaller pipe and ran it out to a well west of the main pipeline just West of Rt nine near Hanoverton. The name escapes me at the moment.
This section of pipeline is moving right along. Early pipe near Roy D is now buried and that road crossing looks complete. Road crossing at Mueller was being prepped the other day when I went by there. Pipe is laid out all along the pipeline route now to Hartz/Mellenger. They are coming up between these two wells closest to Hartz and you can not really see much there. The pipe is up off the ground it cribs awaiting the welder guys Pipe is welded up to and beyond Riffle now. There is a section I still have not determined what exactly is going on. I can see the pipeline come down the hill from Muellher to 558 but no clear crossing is marked. This is quite a steep hill and also in the power line ROW which I expect they are using. I can then see where the pipe line comes up the hill to Franklin Square. There is a big wetlands here so eventually the pipe will be pushed from one side to the other I think. Have to wait and see what happens there.
Also took a little drive a couple weeks back from Mangus down Jersey Ridge Rd which ends up at Old 558 and you are right at Franklin Square. I have seen no indications (no stakes or markings of any kind yet) that this well will be tied into Teegarden at this time but I do not see how it will not be eventually. It might be like the well out by United School and have it's own little crew tie it in. It is more than a mile but less than 2 I would guess.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
