Just curious...
I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Irtncidence rates of what "continue to decline"? From the Bloomberg article: "Pipeline-Related Deaths - Last year was the worst for U.S. fatalities since 2010".
Portraying the fossil fuel industry as a beleaguered victim just doesn't fly.
Bloomberg's source was "Source: U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration".
No one (or association or country) has the moral or legalauthority to set/enforce a "global energy policy".
From one of your previous posts: "... global energy war exists using social media as a weapon." Please explain. Am I missing something?
Thanks OT. And here I thought they only meddled in elections!

Thank you ... even though you did hype it by incorrectly claim it's a CIA report.
"Russian Attempts to Indluence U.S. Domestic Energy Markets by Exploiting Social Media"
United States House of Representatives - Committee on Science, Space, and Technology
(21 page pdf)

The report appears to have been written by the Committee staff, based on a search of existing literature and information provided by Facebook (including Instagram) and Twitter.
There is no indication that the Russian posts to social media had any impact ... one way or another. There are samples of some of the images allegedly posted by a Russian organization.
OT:
I trust the footnotes in the congressional report you referenced.
OT, ref your link to: "The Connection Between Russia and 2 Green Groups Fighting Fracking in US"
Still no "CIA report", but the article does quote a Virginia Tech lecturer who had worked for the CIA. His specialty is "Geographic Information Systems and geo-location targeting".
"The former CIA analyst (Stiles) said he is inclined to characterize environmental activists who received Russian funding through indirect channels, such as Sea Change or the Energy Foundation, as manipulated sources." {"“manipulated sources” who have no idea that they’re doing the bidding of a foreign power."}
OT:
Again, this is not something I was following. But certainly Steyer's donations don't approach what the natural gas industry has donated to PA candidates. What do you suggest Steyer expects to get for his "investment"?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
