Just curious...
I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Impressive! Do you know the lateral length of that well?
About noon today a string of 8 low boy tractor trucks were heading west thru Westfield this morning. Each truck carried a huge tank and was accompanied by escort vehicles. I have no idea where they were headed.
Lu and I drove up Crance brook road a little afternoon to Sperry/Young intersection and then up to where Reservior hill intersects. We were expecting to have to turn back. But we were able to head back to town past the A-Pad and down the hill into Westfield. I think the roller had just left leaving it in a much better and passable condition. No one had been over it yet as ours were the only tracks on the surface. Ditches were a little ragged but will carry water. No machinery was in view. No we will see just how the road will stand up to truck traffic.

Late Saturday Lu and I did another drive up Reservoir hill. Another finer layer had been laid down. VERY GOOD! Tar and chips will make it into a super highway next spring.
Watch out for the deer. Four of them stood near by Teachman house. We stopped. They were only about 4 or 5 car lengths from us. Might have attempted to open car door to coax them to go with us.But another vehicle came along and scared them away. No bucks there.

A tragic accident. http://www.tiogapublishing.com/free_press_courier/gas-worker-dies-i...
Have you all lost your minds? This is lunatic fringe stuff - you need to get out of the bubble.
I always thought of myself as an open minded, unbiased person, but I could not get past the opening minute. Just turned it off.
Sorry, this is way off subject, but have to respond. That's fine and what this board is all about. I have my own God. It is Mother Nature. I just do not have much "faith" in any churches these days. Count the religious wars over the past two centuries and the continuing hatred just because of religion or color. I think you will find that is a far more divisive issue than anything, even fossil fuel development. Personally I agree we need to continue to perfect alternative energies if we can get past the religious/ethnic barriers, but natural gas is a good way to do that.
DISCLAIMER: Newly retired guy here, so I have a bit more time on my hands to take a peek at both sides of the Climate Change/Global Warming debate that rages on.
The media has done us all a great disservice by blindly accepting ANY GW or CC news fed to them by the UN and their lapdog, the IPCC.....all at the expense of the 'denier' scientific community that has debunked the vast majority of the 'scientific studies' done by the UN and IPCC.
When is the last time you saw mainstream media acknowledge that virtually ALL of the claims made in Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" have not come to fruition? The sea level rise? Ain't happenin! The actual rise in Global temperature (which is really impossible to quantify, by the way), using the IPCC methodology? Notta.
This is not lunatic fringe....this is really happening....and it is in fact being driven by the Global Elitists. If they can control carbon, they control the world.....and it's population of easily misled 'sheep'. No....this is as real as it gets!
Stepping off my soapbox now.
Come on guys! This site is not to argue about religion or religious beliefs. Doing so will only dissuade readers from even opening this site to look at.
Politics and religion are the two most subjects to be avoided if at all possible. We need to get back to the main focus here. There are several bits of information that we all need to help us understand the workings of the gas industry.
The miserable weather, we have had much of the year has not helped the drilling activities or taking care of township access roads.
So please let us get back to asking and looking for information we need instead of squabbling with each other.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
