Hi Joe,
Shell had a Rig there that was releases early last month. Not sure if the well was drilled all the way to depth or not. It is my understanding that Shell is drilling the vertical well (permit 117-20767). So far Shell seems to be drilling these vertical wells solely to hold leases. Shell has begun drilling many vertical wells in the area and to my knowledge they have not fracked or completed any vertical wells recently (2010-2011.)
Permalink Reply by Ann Ticopa on April 1, 2011 at 5:53am Sure looks like that's it (holding leases). East/Shell was issued a permit for Heuer 701-2H 1/22/10 (ID 117-20565), Then, 6/30/10, a permit for Heuer 701-1V (117-20767), There are no entries in eFacts for inspection(s) of either well. And the PA DEP production records show the wells as not in production.
Seaching Landex for Heuer (Union Twp) shows a Unit Declaration by SEWPI (East/Shell) for Heuer 701 recorded 2/17/11. Also, a Memorandum of lease from Heuer (T/T) to East recorded 6/23/06.
Permalink Reply by William Ladd on April 2, 2011 at 7:43am I cant tell you about the well you are discussing. But there is much activity a few hundred yards north of Little Marsh on route 249. There are dozens of holding tanks in place there. So they must be getting ready to frack the site. Yesterday in Wellsboro we saw numerous tanker trucks and several of these red trucks that looks like the
rear wheels are about to fall off. I have no idea what they are for!

We are in the process of dealing w/ the same pipeline. They want to run through 435' of our land to get from the compressor station to you. Offered $15.00' for 100' wide + a staging area to bore under creek. That would be extra. We' haven't signed yet.
I think we've met. A number of yrs. ago, after Christmas, you asked to trap coyotes w/ your grand son on our prop., right? We are at the end of Sugar Run Rd. E. of you. We have heard alot & some of it may even be true. :) If you want to talk come over Fri.- Mon. after T-giving.

Permalink Reply by Bob Byler on September 6, 2011 at 3:49am Joe, We have a farm 1/2 mi., as the crow flies, from The Heuer well. Was there over the weeend & drove up to the pad. Nothing going on yet. A neighbor told me they are letting that one set right now & are concentrating on hooking up the others in the area. There are men & equip. everywhere since a new pipeline crew moved in 3 weeks ago. They are cleaning topsoil off all the pipeline ROW's & believe me they seem to be everywhere, PLUS Shell has removed the top layer of blacktop from 414 from Ogdensburg to 14 & are going to resurface it. THE AREA IS A MESS!!

Do you have any update on the Heuer Well? I would love to know if they set up a drill rig to do the Horizontals so I could get some pictures if you ever see that can you let me know? I was also wondering whether the pipelines were done and how many pipes were laid? Any info you have would be helpful.
That is if you don't mind.
Thanks,
Joe

Permalink Reply by Bob Byler on September 6, 2012 at 8:08am Joe, Was at our farm last Thur. (8/31). They are laying another gas line & water line. That makes 2 gas lines. Our lease calls for 1. Don't know how your lease reads but watch them. They owe us for another line. We've been calling them. They said they'll pay.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
