How long does equipment from a horizontal drilling operation remain at the drilling site?

As  a person with no experience with horizontal drilling but who owns acreage adjacent to state property, I really appreciate the answers I have been getting to my questions on here. I would now like to know how long all of that stuff stays at the drilling site? If they drill on my land to put laterals under state owned land, when will I regain the use of my land?

They usually put in a pad which will take up maybe 5 acres. I'm sure on the size. As far as I know this pad will remain there forever. I'm not sure now but they used to give the landowner about $ 60,000 to put in a pad.
