Cook/Ligonier township's Westmoreland county.  Does anyone know about timbering up on the ridge? With pipeline ditch being dug? I see XTO still leasing in eastern Ligonier. Please any information would be great

Out in Murrysville you may be best off selling your Marcellus rights outright rather than lease. It's going to be a while with Murrysville politics on one side and the Dominion Storage field on the other..

It would depend on the terms of the lease. You need to see an attorney who specializes in gas well leases. Someone who actually knows the industry.

I just joined this forum.  My father owns some property in Murrysville and received an offer from Huntley and Huntley for a 10 year non-surface lease.  They say they are not allowed to drill in Murrysville but his property is near the border and they can come in underground from another site.  They seem to have some dealings with Range Resources but the guy told me they are planning to drill themselves but are waiting for gas prices to go up to make it cost effective for them.  I guess that's why they want a 10 year lease.  I took the lease to a real estate lawyer who says it's standard and sign it if you're happy with the terms.  Seemed like a waste of $400.  Any comments /suggestions?   Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is any new drilling planned in the Cook Tw/Stahlstown area?

Sewickley Township has signed a no-drill lease with Chevron at the Crabapple park and pool. Maybe this will let the township upgrade some things.

Ed Bilik got me more money. Also, they are not taking 10% of the bonus money.  Williams doesn't pay everyone the same amount per acre - it is negotiable.  Just like all parts of the lease are negotiable - including deductions and royalty percentage.

Ladies and gent, this is to inform you about Ed Bilik and Gary Lynn. They are going around trying to get landowners to lease with them, the leases will go to Williams, but they are taking 10% of the landowners upfront bonus money and trying to get the landowner more money, Williams will not pay the more money because they are trying to be a fair company and give everyone the same amount of bonus money.
