Is there any interest is starting a landowners group in liberty township in Tioga county?

Although most all of us are leased, I'm sure our leases have a 640 acre limit to unit size. The G&O Landman told me they would cut my 80 acres put of a unit if I asked to renegotiate my terms. If we had a land group, it might give us more standing when negotiating terms of the unit size if different for our lease.

It's my feeling that sinse I was paid essentially nothing in bonus payment for ten years ($90/ acre) compared with most leases that were renegociated in the last two years, I should have some bargaining power.

Hi, Thomas,

The  G&O companies always threaten they will go around or say they don't know if or when there wil be any activity in our area....Maybe both of us should start posting in our county group and this forum to see if anyone is being approached or hearing anything....I did get a letter asking about me selling (not leasing) my mineral rights a few months ago...I know Hiker had a post on here about those letters and posted a map of the areas getting offers...Bradford and Tioga were 2 of the Pa areas...but from what I'm reading it might be years b4 we see any action, if at all...

I got many letter to buy half my mineral rights a couple years ago. I really think its a rip off and would stay away from them.

I think it would be best for us in our area to form a group for the event they want to increase unit size to 1280.

Pa. has no Limit to how many acres can be put in a unit, unless you put a limit in your lease ,you could have 1280 or more-we have 1172 in ours in Sullivan co..Std. in all other states is 640.No one knew this 8 years ago when leases were signed for pennies.

We had an offer to buy Mineral rights for 4000.00/acre last month  "DON'T DO IT"

My lease specifies 640 acres per unit.
