• What is DNCR?
•• Why is no one posting new leasing info on this site? I heard rumor of a signing in Muncy Valley for $7,800/acre at 25%. Anyone else hear 7,200 or the 7,800?

Yes, I agree. Where is the leasing info????????

I was talking to a landowner in Penn Twp. 3 weeks ago, who is getting his 3rd well drilled, he said that Relation of his just signed in Muncy Valley for 6,200/22% ??. I'm trying to lease in Jordon Twp.
to XTO, i'm on my 4th landman and the offer is still only 1,000/12.5%. I'll keep waiting. Any other
local Info. would be greatly apprecatied thanks.
Waiting in JORDON TWP.
Tim, plz send me an e-mail, frys2go01@yahoo.com, 482.3702/590.1229. I can talk better than I can type…
Three main reasons why price is so good in the muncy valley. One it's a hot spot for gas. Good return on drilling there. Two most of the drilling and fracing conpanies are locating they field office and staging equipment in the Muncy area. Weatherford, Keys, and Halliburton to name a few. And three the main gas line is so close that tie in costs are low.
Muncy Valley and Muncy where the companys are locating are two different areas. I live very close to Muncy Valley and do know that land was leased recently for $6250.oo and 20%.
True. Muncy is the town and Muncy Valley is the larger area outside the town, but I was using it as a general location. I guess I could have said the Lower South-Eastern Lycoming County Area. But the greater Muncy Valley area works too. Giving very detailed locations like rabbittown, pennsdale, or saeger station would only confuss people that don't live in the area. But since the states DCNR map on the Marcellus Shale only shows the town of Hughesville, maybe I should have said the Hughesville greater meto area. I think you get the point.
DCNR = is Department of Conservation and Natural Resources who oversee's the state parks, forests, rivers, deer management program, etc. GOOGLE it.
Muncy is a small town on Rte 405 aprox 15 miles from Williamsport in Lycoming County and Muncy Valley where you heard of the lease bonus payment/royalty % is a small village aprox 15 miles north of Hughesville on Rte 220N in Sullivan County. Largest lease I've heard of there is Marquardt lease. Am told they are the same one's who have the wells on their Penn Twp/Lycoming County farm.
You will hear alot of rumors/gossip about the leases being signed, and you know how rumors/gossip changes from person to person.
There is a new well permit in Shrewsbury Township which is not approved yet. The Shaffer, Winstar well this is located near Ticklish Rock and Deer lake. Just a new peice of info. Thanks all for the pipeline info this is very helpful.
