We are in north central Ohio and have an opportunity to join a landowners association. It will cost us a dollar an acre up to 300 acres, so that the most anyone pays is $300.00, regardless of how many acres are owned. The memebership will vote on whether to accept a negotiated lease. If the lease is accepted, there is an additional fee of 3% of the lease bonus payment which goes to the consultant and the lawyer.
