Can someone out there possibly help me? I found out this past fall, that I am an heir to mineral rights in Lawrence County. The agent I had been working with sent copies of the original deeds, along with a map showing where the property is located. This person said Shell is very anxious to begin drilling and all the paperwork was in the process of being compiled for signatures, etc. All of a sudden, I don't hear anything back and my phone calls are not returned. Since I live out of state, I am at a bit of a disadvantage for being able to follow up. I sure would appreciate it is someone out there has information abut this and could pass it my way! I feel like I've been left in the dark.

By the way, this agent was with Long Consulting which I understand to be reputable.

Send Todd Scott a friend request. He is a manager in Long Consulting's Lawrence County office. He should be able to help.

Thank you Glenn. I appreciate it!

Your welcome Cj.

Todd has been very helpful and considerate to me thus far.

Good Luck getting this all squared away.

Glenn

email me at  landownerslease@hotmail.com  There are other companies leasing in Lawrence Co

Thank you Jim. I'll try to get in touch with Todd Scott when I get a moment. I am in no hurry to lease, I'm more interested in seeing where everything is at this point. There are several of us in our family who have been contacted about this property. I thought maybe Shell had decided against drilling in this area (Scott Township) - we only have about 65 acres.

Mark; what companies are active in Lawrence Co Pa? Everyone knows that Shell and Hilcorp are. Rex may be interested in part of the extreme SE corner. Has Chevron, which bought all those Atlas wells in Northern Lawrence, actively pursuing more leases? Is CHK doing anything other than the far southern sections?  Have I missed any?

CI....welcome to gomarcellushale.com.    Good time to study thru the discussions and learn from those that have brought up good info and questions regarding leasing and a good time to find help in representing your position as a Lessor.   Pls do take the time as you will discover it is worthwhile to investigate each clause in an oil/gas lease and not depend on the agent's verbal information.

Thanks VG...that's exactly what I'm doing - trying to learn as much about this whole process as I can. I really had no idea all this was going on up north until I got a phone call one evening. Now that I find myself involved, it is really exciting. The people on gomarcellusshale.com are very helpful. I'm glad I've had time to dig into this.

The shell poeple may just be off for the holidays.   I have been talking to a shell landman and he told me that we will continue discussions on Jan 3rd.   He was going home for the holidiays.
