I don't know the going value per acre in OH but I do know this...and I was told this by an O&G company right before Christmas...never sell your mineral rights and I assume that is what you mean by "selling your 12.5% royalties"...

If you are new to this site, start reading all the posts from the different discussions and you will learn mucho...

DON'T SELL YOUR ROYALTIES...

Happy New Year!

happy new year to you as well,  i dont want to sell but someone else under my roof would like the money....

If you have a desperate and immediate need for money, you might want to consider selling your mineral rights.

If you have am incurable disease, with a short time to live and no one you want to inherit, you might want to consider selling your mineral rights.

But, understand that you are likely selling your mineral rights for pennies on the dollar for what they might ultimately be worth.

And, understand that surface land without mineral rights will be worth much less than land with mineral rights.

By selling your mineral rights, you might possibly be losing much more that you get.

All in my humble opinion.

One size fits most.

i talked with a buddy who is in the industry and i told him the offer and he said " are you f...ing crazy"  its worth ten times that.

The offer was a life changing amount.
