I'm new to "gomarcellusshale", as well as new to this business.  We have a 152 acre farm with "Clinton" gas wells which supply our needs.

We've been approached by Fossil Creek Energy Corp (FCEC) for $50/acre, 12.5% Royalty, and $10,000 if a well is drilled.  We are sitting on the Utica Strata.  I've carefully read the lease and am very suspicious of the terms.  We are consulting attorneys.  I don't see any members from Noble County..and some interesting notes from Guernsey which lead me to suspect the FCEC lease.  Can they broker a lease after signing "cheap"?

We have news of ARTEX Oil offering leases in our County, they're out of Marietta.  Any comment on FCEC, ARTEX, and my suspicions would be welcomed!

I have noticed it also. I have my theories why, but adopting a wait and see attitude about it.

Hello to all and Happy New Year!  Wishing you all a profitable and informed year.

Just checking in to see what people are seeing for leases now in Noble.  I'm hearing its finally made it to the $5000 per acre range but is anyone seeing higher prices yet?

Sawtooth, who is paying $5,000 in Noble ?  I still have a buddy holding out on 100 acres. I think Shell was for a short time but havent been keeping up on it myself.

not sure but i will find out for you.  a coworker mentioned it to me but the name didn't sound familiar to me.  It wasn't a big name like Shell etc.

Hello Sawtooth.... I have been trying to find information also.... Last time I was on the site was some time ago when a ruckus was raised over information being forwaded to this site concerning Des Wertheimer's group in Noble County.

I still have not signed a lease on my property and am trying to contact Des or any member that joined his Noble county group.....

I just heard from a friend that signed with Antero Resources for 5900/21%. The group consisted of land in the Noble Belmont Monroe area. Anyone hear of this?

Congrats to them!  Good to hear the prices are still rising in some areas.  Who is Antero though?  I have never heard of them before...

They are a good sized driller quite a few articles and info on them on internet & here gms not an Exxon but very well known & thought of, Lensman Group praised them as a good reliable company to work with at our emlo meeting last night!  Your Buddy Des told his group 3 weeks ago no way will anyone pay more than $5000 and 20% for Monroe or Noble and that was when he was announcing his 5th deal for $4900 & 20% this time & guess what 3 weeks later deal gone,  Im shocked!,

LOL... not my buddy!  & yeah, that is very shocking!  Thanks for the info & link.  Always glad to see reputable new players enter the game...
