They discussed the fresh water impoundment to be located behind Tullis lawn and Garden on old blackhawk road.  CHK believes they need a zoning variance to build the pond, although they aren't sure they do. The also talked about the temporary above ground water lines to be used during fracking. There were alot of BS questions asked, naturally. Of course then we had to listen to the anti frackers until the board told them that they were to speak only to the matter infront of them, not general questions.....thank God he spoke up. If they don't get it approved then they have a backup plan to build one just over the border into Chippewa where more common sense seems to prevail, at least at this time.

Craig, you seem to be a man in the know. Do you know if the township ever approved the pipeline from Tharp? I was told back in November that CHK had all of their environmental permits but were just waiting on the township and ohioville to approve, and were getting some resistance.

I have no knowledge of where they are at with Ohioville. However, S. Beaver has given approval (with a few requirements) for the twps' part of the line. They were told by CHK that they have the permits lined up, of course if this is true is anyones guess....I've tried to find it online but so far no success. I did see something sometime ago about the North Beaver Pipeline and that is what the Twp official called it as well. Maybe you could try digging too, i just don't seem to have enough time for all the things i'd like to research.

My understanding is that the hold up is because there are a few landowners not happy about the situation with the pipeline... maybe rightfully so. CHK is lacking in their communication skills with us, their partners in this endeavor.  Funny thing is, they have a company wide program called SAFE, which actually is supposed to deal with in-company communication. They REALLY need a communication program in place to deal properly with us the landowners.

I suspect the pieces will be falling into place pretty quick for the pipeline, as time is BIG money for these companies.

Have a good one!
