Compressed Natural Gas for vehicles

Does anyone know if these gas companies and subcontractors use any compressed natural gas vehicles or do they just fill up with foreign diesel fuel?  US has Boon Pickens and corporations asking for governmental support and funding for CNG, one has to ask where the leadership is on this topic.

yes, ford and gm are doing it. they are using aftermarket upfitters that are qualified like cngonesource of western pa. cngonesource also provides fleet stations and is starting to build stations in the tristate area

What about the effect of unburned CNG and VOC"s  if we were to change to CNG on a national or global scale.Methane is 25X or more a Green house gas then CO.....?

@ Familman,Ridgeman,and Sam it's nice that you all make a joke ,but the amount of methane from cows and animals will no way equal the amount of unburned Methane produced from vehicles....Jokes on all you you see.....

No ferullo, i stopped because it wasnt worth arguing with you. I am convinced that people get on these sites to argue, and listen to whatever propaganda they wish to and are excited to tell their story, albeit warped, skewed thoughts. Dont get me wrong i love my environment as much as you or anyone else. I actually challenge your statistics, in fact since i have cng vehicles, and have a kent moore emmissions tester, i feel very qualified to state that your facts are in error. Im sorry to inform you of that, but facts are facts. Now if you want to be mad, a story just came out yesterday that those darn windmills are contributing to global warming, i think you should be mad at them. They also kill bats

you know as a matter of fact, i have googled you to find that you are an absolute opponent of natural gas, and in fact i understand you are a very educated man, but so am i, in fact you just want to cause trouble, on a site that people like natural gas exploration. But since i signed a lease on my acreage, i want to tell you that it is extremely important to me that it is done right, but it appears as though you supported garbage like Gasland..which suggests that you may not be as honest about your agenda. I am intimately aware of the procedures that companies take, and i was specifically asked on behalf of a Congressman by his aide my expert opinion, and i happiuly provided it. Now, thats not to say that i am not open minded in case knowledge shows unexpected problems. But i would like to pose this question to you, if sewage plants contribute waste to streams. and they are highly and properly regulated by epa and state agencies as a part of the issuance of an NPDES permit, butpollution occurs within the legal parameters, what do you suppose we do.? The world may be designed for 1 billion people, not 7 billion people, and you cant tell them to stop going to the bathroom, so what is your great answer. My simple humble answer is that we must be good stewards of our environment, but we are still a part of it, and therefore use it. You might hate natural gas, but then you need to shut off your computer because the electricity that you are using may be produced from a coal or natural gas power plant.

IN OTHER WORDS, even though you hate natural gas, you use it and you are then a part of the problem, if you think it is a problem.

ok i was polite, you signed petitions. you support bogus Gasland and you appear fringe. Perhaps your philosophy with WandM windmills is that thats the future. You failed to answer my question as to what you would do about sewage waste to bring a point that we need to do our best but reality is we use our natural resources. You are still using coal or natural gas since you keep this computer on. I am not in my mx building to saee my test equipment, but i am willing to let you be there when a test is being done, or simply put, you could stick your nose up the exhaust of a cng vehicle, and you can see what happens. the 1997 honda civic was rated the cleanest internal combustion engine ever, and regularly wins awards for being the cleanest most friendly vehicle. my 2000 honda civic has its original exhaust, no rust no soot, clean clean clean. Further, it is recognized  by almost all authorities that the NOx are so dramatically reduced that the air is cleaner than the surrounding air in California....87% less, cite natural gas.org, and my emmissions tests are comparable. While it is true that CH4 must increase, when it is not completely burned, it is so much more efficient than 2,4,6 trimethylpentane or gasoline and Co is so reduced that its amazing. In fact the CAFE standards are increasing MPG to 54mppg, but if you understood that that is not about raising mpg, but rather is a reduction by 5% of particulate emmissions and other emmissions to 6.5g per statute mile then you would understand the overwhelming endorsement of CNG because it really beats all the standards....i believe this was an unexpected result that the administration did not understand. This data came directly from the USEPA at the Transportation Energy Summit 2012 one month ago. I didnt see you there.

I believe only a fool chooses to fight against saving the environment with CNG until such time as something better is fully established. Pleeeease dont be foolish to cite hydrogen fuel, as there are still too many shortcomings to it, and oh yeah, the logical extraction of hydrogen is from methane. oh and th ev, i dont want batteries in the dump, and the Volt goes 40 miles, two miles more than my daughters plastic barbie electric car. main difference chevy volt 28000 dollars, barbie car 300 dollars.

And what does the volt consume after the battery is too low, gasoline, increasing more emmissions. and what mileage do you get when you plug in a level1 charger two miles /hr of charge. Oh wait, we will use coal or natural gas to power that electirc plant. Oh and can the national grid handle the increase of electricity, i doubt it....in fact if the goal of 1,000,000 ev by 2015 is realized, i predict widespread electric outages in the metro areas. some day, just not today.

I guess you could walk. By the way, you took the drillers money, did you give it away, or are you reaping the rewards...i know, you will say its not worth it, but you have spent it, thats no different than blood money.
