My AVG virus detector is saying the HTML Framer virus is on this site. Anyone else having this issue? I think the owner of the site need to check into this.

If it is malicious, or if it is a virus, it hits on every GMS page load.  Most likely GMS is the problem.  If malicious it was probably uploaded to GMS or inserted directly at the server that hosts the site.  Whether benign or malicious it seems it has made GMS a much quieter place.

anyone know how to get rid of this trojan threat  problem

send this discussion to webmaster Keith...he will know what to do.

sorry

disagree! very good way for anti-drillers to slow down info on this site!

Not to start a flame war, but this has been debunked to some extent over the years. If this were true then the ipad and iphone would be hacked to death, however you do have a point historically...It has more to do with the way windows system software is structured and of course the code being bloated with innumerable additions over it's lifespan. Then you have lots of third party developers writing slipshod software that makes it easier to cause havoc.

Any programmer worth his salt can tell you this.

I sent this discussion link to Keith our webmaster....the webmaster link is at the bottom of the main page...how about others here doing the same so he can see it on his comments from more than me....thanks.

im getting it to everytime i get on here now started about a week ago

How is it now? I deleted a line of code...

so far so good

and you had issues prior?

I am sending this discussion to my provider to have them check this out again. They ran a check 2 weeks ago and reported that everything was ok with the site. Here was the original reply

I checked out Go Marcellus Shale in a few different browsers, but didn't see any errors pop up. My guess is that member has an overly restrictive web-security program that doesn't like something on the network. JS refers to javascript, and an Iframe is basically just HTML that pulls in another website and displays it. There may be a specific ad script that is causing this issue. I'd recommend your member update any security software to the latest version and perhaps make an exception for your network. If you want, you can try removing any custom add-ons (ads, analytics, etc.) and test to see if that message goes away.
