In Ohio Chevron (atlas Energy) holds the deep right to quite a bit of acreage.

Has anyone heard of Chevron doing anything as far as drilling, permits ,etc.etc..

They hold ALOT of acreage in Mercer County, PA as well. I talked with them, and they are concentrating on holding all of their Marcellous by production, then they'll move out of Bradford and Washington Counties.

I have land in somerset county pa....Chevron said they plan to drill soon to hold the land through HBP....but there's no way they INTEND to produce at this time...That won't stop them from playing the game however.....If you're gonna HBP then produce....If you don't intend to produce, then don't drill....it's a sham

Does anyone have a phone Number for Chevron?. I  also have land under lease in Somerset County pa for over 4 yrs thru chief now chevron.  Like to know what they plan if anything.

Has anyone with an Atlas well been told that their lease has been sold to Chevron? We have a well supposedly owned by Lomak but the royalty check (when they come) comes in an Atlas Energy envelope, containing a check written on a Resource Energy account. Since they all have the same address I assume the major owner is Atlas and therefore now Chevron although we have not been told that this is the case.

When Chevron purchased Atlas Energy, it became a subsidiary of Chevron.

They will likely eventually change over to the Chevron name, but that might take a while.

There is paperwork and there are formalities that can take a couple of years to get through.

Major corporations seem to allways be slow at informing people (at the bottom of their food chain) such as ourselves.

Chevron is currently drilling a well in northern Clarion, near Frills Corners. It is their first in northern or western Pa that I know of.

I attended a new landowners group about a month ago, we were told the group was in negotiations with Atlas for leasing in east central Trumbull County, in Hartford Twp. Promised drilling in 18 months or your lease is voided. I didn't sign.

My father has a shallow injection well on his farm that Atlas had and now Chevron holds the rights to.  The neat thing there is no lease on the majority of the acreage.  He called to talk with Chevron to see if there was any interest in leasing his property (Tuscarawas County OH) and they expressed no interest unless it was very large acreage.

Thanks for all of your input...

With all of the acreage Chevron has in Ohio they sure are sitting back...

Thanks again for the info..
