I live in Berlin Township, There is a new Utica well going up in Goshen township on Calla Road just off Route 534 and another in Butler Township near North Georgetown. They are getting very close. Does anyone know of others?

I did sign my lease with Chesapeake, through Mason Dixon. $5800 per acre, 20% royalties, but they wouldn't agree to a non-surface lease. My attorney agreed with their assurances that there is not enough setback within my triangle of property for any drilling or storage to be done.  Haven't received my sign on payment yet.  The actual well site is a couple thousand feet from my house.  Chesapeake has finally contacted (in the last month) the current owner of the property where the pad is proposed to go.  He said they are not offering him anything except a payment for the pad area, they said they already have drilling rights from the old lease already on his property.  He's really peeved.

He'll be less peeved if he gets a huge royalty check.  Money seems to give people perspective.

Ruth- When did you sign with CHK?

Sorry, I haven't been reading for awhile and missed your post.  I signed in late April; received my payment in July.

Does anyone know of any well plans for beaver township?

I've heard Diehl Rd. in Ellsworth Twp. They say papers were notarized last week.

Wow...that is the first time I have heard that. Most of my neighbors are anxiously awaiting a well unit...which is proposed to be drilled this summer/ early fall....according to Chesapeake....I did see a map that had proposed wells mapped out that were between garfield road....one street over from Whitmer's feed mill....to just shy of Rt. 14....i can't think of the names of the small intersecting roads in between. We are in that area and haven't signed yet.

I see there is an application for Falb property on Garfield Rd. Betweeen Green Beaver Rd. and route 11. It is the field South of Renkenberger Rd.

The roads in between where IDM is describing would have to be Seacrist and Duck Creek.

I was just driving along West Garfield Road in south Mahoning county over the weekend and saw a bunch of stakes with pink and white flags....written on the stakes were CL then a number.....are these surveying stakes for a well.....this is right around where garfield crosses rt. 11 then west towards washingtonville road....just curious to know if these are what the stakes are for.

CHK got a Permit to Drill north of west Garfield and east of Green Beaver today 153ac lateral permit so its decent length, only one so far. COORD; 40.9170487080318, -80.7407950531361 (Well Name: FALB 30-13-2)

CHK is planning a well heading northeast from the corner of Bailey rd and Blott rd in North Jackson. 2 laterals, to begin pad work in mid june/july.
