BONUS MONEY!

FINALLY GOT OUR BONUS MONEY KIND OF SAD THOUGH ON HOW MUCH TAXES YOU HAVE TO PAY THE GOVERMENT WHEN ITS OUR LAND. WE PAY THE PROPERTY TAXES AND WE PAID FOR OUR LAND. IM STILL GRATEFUL FOR THE MONEY JUST CANT UNDERSTAND HOW THE GOVERMENT HAS TO STICK THERE NOSE IN EVERYTHING.WE SIGNED BACK IN DEC 2011.

Oh jesus H christ on a popsickle stick......You hit the lottery and want to complain....Well I've been receiving royalties for 27 years and I've paid over a million in taxes and I am 50 years old....Wake up - Paying taxes is a good problem to have.

You're being naive and need to wake up.....Your original post panders to most posters on this board....but I've been around the block several times.  you're lucky to be part of a country that allows for private ownership of such assets....Pay up and shut up.....I do, every quarter, and never complain.

Be it to end slavery, suffrage, children working in mines or paying taxes out the rat hole so the GAO can party or the USAF can pay $1200 for a hammer! Might just be that some people believe in a fair equatable tax system as well or even to complain about forced pooling.

  It is called Freedom of Speech.

 God Bless America at least that's what it used to be, now I think at times It is God Help America.

Thank you for your service, Billy.  It is because of you and many many many soldiers from the past to the present that we can still call our country FREE.  My Daddy was in Nam, and only got his "thank you" at his funeral 3 years ago.  So, I go out of my way to thank each veteran and/or soldier that I come across.  If it weren't for you all....

You are always such a ray of sunshine every time you post.   What a great country indeed in which you have been able to collect royalties for decades.   You would think it would put you in a better mood.  Of course I do realize most people decide if they are going to be happy or not, it  has almost zero to do with their circumstances, financial or otherwise.    

I should probably have kept quiet but honestly dude, do you ever have something positive to say?

How was your dealings with SWEPI? How long did it take you to get paid?

I am waiting for my payday also and have wondered for a long time about taxes. Wondering why I have to pay all this money on something that is mine. Something that I have paid taxes on for many years. Just does not seam right.

BUT,

I am glad I live in the great USA. Glad to know that I can go to bed at night without fear and and wake up the same way. For what we have here in our country, state, county, township costs money. The only way is to collect money through taxes. We all may not agree with this or my comment but it is true. It's all good. Enjoy your bonus money and don't let this little thing spoil your enjoyment.

IT TOOK AROUND 4 MONTHS AND SWEPI WAS PRETTY GOOD TO US IN THIS AREA IN PA, SORRY I DONT AGREE WITH ALL OF YOU AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE BONUS MONEY BUT I PAID FOR OUR PROPERTY NOT THE GOVERMENT AND AS I SAID BEFORE I PAY THE TAXES ON MY PROPERTY NOT THE GOVERMENT AND I WILL LEAVE IT LIKE THAT FOR NOW ,ITS MY OPINION AND OF COURSE IM ALOUD MY OWN OPINION THIS IS THE USA !

I love you, Chartist! Hilarious and so true.

If you don't want to pay taxes, then that's fine, except you'll need to buy yourself the following: a cop, a fireman, a teacher (art, math, language etc etc etc), don't forget you'll need roads, you'll have to be SURE you can completely and independantly support yourself into old age even if you're stricken with a horrible disease. Will you want a bridge over the river to get to town? Better be ready to buy it. Do you have yourself an army to safeguard your freedon? You'll need one. Good luck.

I'll be paying my taxes and counting my blessings that I live in an amazing country.
