What county in Eastern Ohio Has the most Oil and Gas

Who has the most Oil and Gas, Belmont, Carroll, or Columbiana County.

Watch the Ruble well in Monroe Co . on RT. 379 .

Several weeks ago I saw heard a  loud boom and the sky lit up . Wasn't sure what had happen .We saw this from around 20 miles away .

Friends of mine went to the site and saw it right after it  happened .

I found out  that one of the well head valves had broken and the light was from the flare . The way I was told that this well had a 5000 psi valve , they had another valve shipped in from Texas that was rated at 10000 psi .

Take it for  what it is worth it was said that this well has some of the highest pressure on record also its not dry like we are being told by the O-G companies .

I feel that the O-G co are trying to keep things on the down low and keep prices 

as low as they can in Monroe and Belmont .

Time,

I have heard numerous rumors from folks across northern WV that the drillers have told them they are taking the NG slowly and that they will be back in a few years to get the bulk of the oil and wet.  Only rumors, if true it may make sense for over-all production in recovering the liquids but also would keep the numbers down until more land is leased.  There has been a lot of seismic done around us in Belmont County, first the trucks and two separate full days of copters.  Someone knows what lays under foot but the lid is still tight on the pot in Belmont and Monroe.  As someone on GMS said we are only in the first inning of a nine inning game, but it may only be the first inning of a triple header.

I tend to agree. The O&G companies do not want us knowing what we are sitting on. dont know if they would actually LIE about it,but capping wells & choking em down could keep us in the dark until the next round of leasing happens.After bout everyone is signed, they can open em up & bring in the rigs,n processing plants. They dont want us hicks having any bargaining power. I feel bad for the ones who signed a year or more ago. Once they get to the 65% leased milestone,n forced pooling comes into the picture,we may all be screwed! May have to settle for what our neighbors signed for.   Oh Well; may otta just be glad we dont live in some other countries where the guberment owns ALL the mineral rights! landowners only own the surface.

I have a close friend who is a geologist in this play that has shared with me that the Point Pleasant - Fairway runs threw the Western to mid parts of Belmont and Monroe co . 

He has studied cores threw out the state's of Ohio , PA , and Kentucky .

I believe what he tells me compared to drillers who profit from lower lease

and royalty payments .

I have no problem with anyone making as much as they can so long they don't hurt anyone . My real concern is the lease it's self . The lease will out live us so we must get the best terms for now and later .

If NG was the price it should be we would all be crappen in high cotton .

It will change so will the land prices .

More are being deposited every week, I just wished they were bodies as big as dinosaurs so the oil would be "Utica sweet grade."

 I believe it will be a ways off before the question is answered. Many an acre in the oil window have not even been looked at let alone drilled. As such it might be a multi part question which county will be the Oil King, NGL and Dry Gas county.

The best of the best of Ohio Utica will be Eastern Guernsey, 2 townships western Belmont, and the corridor of Monroe and Noble county line.... rediculous liquids.... congrats to everyone in that area.... NOTE the Gulfport Flushing results today, very very promising !!

 

17 million MCF and 2000 barrels of liquids.... crazy

Where did you read 2000 barrels of liquids? Their presentation says 432 bbls + 17.1mmcf

 Now everyone knows what's under our feet in Eastern Ohio. And the more wells they drill the better the numbers will get. Can't wait to see the numbers for Columbiana County wells, I do know they are talking to landowners in three areas in the county for pipelines. They have to feed that new plant some how.
