This is the closest horizontal Utica well to Washington county that I am aware of. The rig was on the pad just a few weeks ago drilling away. Does anyone know if the well has been fraced? Or maybe it was reissued as a vertical test well like the one being drilled in Morgan county by PDC? The lease was reissued on 3-23-2012 according to the ODNR site.

The hay field across the road has been leased for frack tank staging. It is now loaded with tanks and the lines are all hooked up. A portable pump is setting at the bottom of the pad road, by the main road. Looks like they may be fracking as early as this week.

They have two flares burning, one of which is a screamer. My buddy that lives just over the hill behind the well said it is louder then the rig was when they were drilling. He said it looked as if from the top of the stack to the flame was 20 feet apart. We first heard there was no or minimal gas at this site mainly oil. This would not appear to be the case. Sounds like a good one??
20 feet sounds pretty high but i dont know what is normal. Anyone have a friend in Monroe who saw that Whitaker well?
