I heard noise coming from the p line (Dominion) under my property. Have never heard it prior. Made a few p calls and had been told that the lines are near maximum capacity and that is the reason for the noise. Additionally, I had been told that I had not been the first to voice my concerns. Others have done so recently and have been told that there is nothing to worry about.
The line sounds like it is leaking, like their is a blow torch at full blast. It doesn't not sound normal.

Sounds a little scary to me. How close to a house?
70 yds. But a blast would wipe out gaines and surrounding. Not sure exactly what it is, but it doesn't sound normal. P Line only a few feet underground. Have been there 10 yrs. I had been on one knee to hear it.
Possibly high pressure causing gas to change phase from vapor to liquid and back in restricted flow areas. pipelines are busy these days. Call Dominion or DEP.
Thank you for the info... Made a few calls already and again they say others have voiced the same concerns... Nothing to worry about.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...........................................BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dominion just rebuilt the compressor station on top of the hill just off of Shin Hollow Road. It is located very near Ackley Road and Cross Road. This was rebuilt this past spring. It was noisey before it now appears to be louder then before and Dominion plans on adding another pipeline along existing line from station all the way down to 6.............
I do not know what is planned from rt 6 south at this point

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
