PA Lawmaker Caught Shaking Down Gasco for Money, Rides on Private Jet...

E-mails released today by Range Resources show that State Rep Jesse White shook them down for money and a ride via private jet to the Super bowl a few years ago.

Mike...again you are right on! The ,"thirst for personal retribution" comment I WILL BE STEALING! I have been ripped off by a local attorney along with two other gentlemen I know.I finally ( after 17 months of trying to reason with this man/attorney/human being/lier/theif/whatever, I have reported him to the local police,D.A. and the THE DISCLINIPARY BOARD OF THE SUPREME COURT OF PENNSLVANIA. His personal retribution was to acuse me of harassment and advise me that he no longer wants to do business with me. GREED IS UGLY!!! It comes in many forms...greed of power, greed of fame...greed of money! Usually, people with huge ego's and arrogant personalities fall victim to the disease of greed. It is our social responsibility to identify these individuals and STOP them! Take care my friend...

Mike,  How do you know the stuff he said about the Dep are lies? Do you know all the facts about the situation before you make the comments. Have you met and talked to the familys that have gotten sick in this paticular situation? All the evidence will come out for the public to see in the court proceedings. Pretty sure your going to be shocked at what comes out.

Beetle... the same way that I know that 1 + 1 = 2.  It's pretty clear in this case.

White accused that the DEP only testing for certain heavy metals during its investigation into gas drilling possibly polluting groundwater was purposefully deceptive.  That they intentionally covered up proof of gas drilling contamination.  That is a lie designed to generate headlines.

The PA DEP uses the same standards for testing that many other states do. It's a peer reviewed, tightly regulated, scientifically-deduced industry standard.  You may not think that the industry standard goes far enough and may want to see them do more testing, but that doesn't equate to a coverup.  There's nothing nefarious, as Rep White very loudly proclaimed. 

The lead plaintiff in this case has his water well right in the middle of a massive junkyard.  The water is contaminated with the exact chemicals that have been identified as coming from junkyards.  It is NOT contaminated with the substances that would come from drilling.  I'm sorry that these folks have bad water, but we need to be adults here and look to the facts for guidance, not emotion.  And the facts show that gas drilling didn't have anything to do with it.

Mike,  Thought you were talking about a different lawsuit. Dont know anything about the junkyard man. The situation that i thought you were referring to that the Dep is involved with is more about a wastewater impoundment. Maybe i'll just let the facts come out in court and then comment on them. The things that i have "emotionally decided" in my head are based on bieng friends with the familys involved and seeing what they have went through in the past few years.

Im not anti drilling or anything like that....my take is with all that is going on and i mean not just drilling but anything to do with it is that in some cases there are shortcuts and shabby work. These are the instances that endanger people. In this case the impoundment wasnt built right and also leaked...facts that will come out in court. What the dep knew....lied about and tried to hide will also come out. For these people to get that sick....and the dep and gas companys tell them they had nothing to do with it...."prove it" is there mentality just pisses me off......as do the people that blindly follow them thinking they dont lie or do anything wrong. I know first hand they do.

If you follow any of the other websites like the PG and Keystonereport I think the industry, his peers both R and D, and the Pittsburgh media sat him up in his high chair and served him a bowl of "grow-the-heck-up" over the weekend.

I would be curious to hear if any other businesses had recieved the same shakedown treatment from him, his soap box bully routine, then all the crap about him missing his Grandmothers passing because he has to have a meeting or make a phone call, fighting for the people, that was complete garbage. If you really read what he writes it always has this theme of "I am the Hero and here to save the day". His website, I am from the government and here to help. Thats crap too. Regan said that and he meant the opposite. He says it proud like Govt. is our savior.

His long winded reply to the whole situation was pure Narcissist Rage.

How is it that he ran un opposed?? Why?
