Logging well today at state line on 358
So far just one. This rig only does vertical. All they will say is that it is exploratory.
Hey! Halcon backing out again? Is this true?
Those with first hand please post!
The latest gossip is that they are going to stay at the Phillips site and drill 6 holes total. This came from a Halcon employee.
Last I heard they were down 12,000 feet.
12,000'? is that a vertical depth or is that total length ......depth + lateral?
I don't know. They told the bar tender at the Gateway when they were eating lunch that they were that deep. I heard some government agency wanted them to go deeper and provide core samples.
I'm guessing he was having some fun with the locals. I seriously doubt if a driller would spend millions going deeper then they want and supply core samples to any government agency. And if was funded by a government agency then it would be public knowledge....or should be.
Jim L. you should simply have CX call and ask Halcon what is going on.
Rig is moving to the Brughler pad.
Talked to Halcon guys today at Phillips Pad. They are going to Brughler's and another rig is coming in for Yoder's Pad. They drilled a total of 12,000 feet. 5000+ feet is horizontal heading South East. It is not fracked yet. He said all went very well...whatever that means.

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
