Just came across this TV program - Link - viewer supported TV

Several segments on Fracking within the US and also taking it to Europe.

Toxic water....they stated the Fracking water from PA is taken to New York....without any regulations on the testing of the water before it is dumped back into the earth....

Can't they figure out how to do this fracking without toxic chemicals.   Talked about the illnesses of those around the wells that have been fracked.  My son has two permits for wells to be drilled directly under his house....

They have already been told that they can't get "earthquake" insurance because they have already started drilling - which I don't think that really has occured yet!

Link TV is a channel filled with liberal garbage like this. Do your home work and learn the truth.

Don't let your mind be filled with other peoples un-educated ideas. There is plenty of info out there that is unbiased.

Do your home work, don't copy off someone else paper. Or you will end up as the un-educated one........

That's my thoughts LW .

Right on WLW.Look what happened in November because of uninformed people. The track record on fracking speaks for itself..I have a cousin that works for the EPA and he said there is nothing to show fracking is a threat to the environment.

I am neither for nor against "fracking"

OMG Fang!

Your scaring the hell out of us poor dirt farmers.  Dihydrogen Monoxide?  Sounds Terrible!!!

H2O must be an awful substance - Could it be as awful as DDT that was used back in the 50's & 60's on our beaches and elswhere to control insects and the like?   Oh lord help us!

The Celebrity "Silly People" truly love the Poor.

After all, if it were no poor, how would they ever get all the servants that they need to look after them and their properties?

If it were not for the poor, where would they obtain those babies for adoption? I wonder how Woody Allen and Soon-Yi are getting along?

Linda:  Don't mind the jokes, it's just that we've all heard this kind of baloney-put out by the anti-fracers, before.  The truth is there has never been an incidence of well water being contaminated by fracing.  Fracing does not cause earthquakes.  There was an incident in Youngstown Ohio when a DISPOSAL well that had been drilled through a rock fault was overpressurized and caused several small quakes.  Of course if that hadn't caused small quakes we might have had a big one later.  Little slips better than big ones.                   The bottom line is there are several gloom and doom FOR PROFIT movies out there that condemn fracing.  They all have one thing in common-they pretend to use facts but in truth rely on lies to scare you.  Your son is blessed, he will be one of the thousands to receive an income from God's earth.

Fracing is the best thing to happen to PA, OH and WV since Col. Edwin L. Drake.

Anti-Fracers (aka Silly People) are the worst thing to happen to the America since Al-Qaeda (after all, just look at who put up the money for "Promised Land").

All IMHO,

So very true on both counts!!

A lot of the "silly people" have a lot of time and money

From my understanding...the people in the show did not have the mineral rights.  So as a landowner they really didn't have a say in whether or not a company came and drilled.  Sounds to me like some...not all...are looking for some sort of compensation since there will be no royalty checks given.  Sad to say but some of their symptoms could be a number of different things.  There is nothing wrong with fracking.  They have done it for years.  Back in the 80's there was a well drilled on the hill behind my house...which they fracked twice...up hill from the water supply.  The cows were fine...and we were fine...nothing terrible happened.  My parents did not have the mineral rights and we had no clue they were going to drill until the rig showed up.

It would kind of suck to just have someone show up and drill, or mine, or take the timber. It is understandable that people would get kind of upset in that situation.... BUT if you don't own the rights, that's what can happen. Hope landowners think long and hard before parting with mineral rights no matter how tempting the offer.

"Symptoms" can be entirely stress-related, and I bet they had a bit of stress with the situation. I would have.
