Was told that a "slip" is responsible for shutting down production in a part of Wetzel County and is still not "fixed" --- what does this mean?

Just asking where you are located, you don't have to answer. A slip is a movement of the earth, they occur in areas like, Wetzel, Tyler, Marshall counties Wv and Monroe Co. Oh all the time. The topsoil along with the vegetation simply slides to where ever it wants to go. Sometimes its a result of heavy rain/snow or underground springs(water). We locals understand it is just part of the territory where we live. So if a slip is causing no production, it could be that a pipeline is shut down and production has no place to be transported, it could be at the well site. Slips just happen in this area, even on dry days.
So if you are unfamiliar with this type of terrain, that was my question about your location.
IMHO over time there will be a lot of slips that occur in this area of the marcellus/utica field.
