I heave been reading posts and know that nothing is certain...Have a ??? anyway. I signed  lease with cheasapeake 2 years ago. I have mineral and etc. on 17.6666 acres in greene co. springhill township. been calling the Dale Property office every couple month to get update, even joined a site called MarcellusGas.org. (Pretty good site)  which showed and told on phone the well was being developed. Out of curiosty my family went on the look for this well. we found it and my son who does this kind of work for a living said first of all when he saw the site  theres a separator station built on it, then there was trucks going in and out big container and at lease 3 or full time well tenders on site that told us the well was putting off almost 8 million cfm( think that was the term he used) now every thing ive looked at and called about said well wasnot in production yet????? Whats up????? Donna

PA DEP regulates drilling. I am from Ohio so not familiar with regulations there. I know they have a website. Our website in Ohio lists producing wells. Just because there are trucks they may not technically be producing. In Ohio flow back is trucked away and can be sold. It must be reported. Gas here cannot be flared off except for a limited time for testing or for safety such as gas pocket hit during drilling. Here the well will have a Christmas tree attached and sit idle until gas can be piped to cryogenic plant. Oil in tanks hauled away by trucks once well is in production. Are you in this unit or think you are? That would be in recorders office here. We are leased to Chesapeake and were notified when we were placed in a drilling unit.

thanks for your reply....yes im in this unit. But still not understanding some stuff. Guess Im just one of thousands these days with a lot of ??????s. Like I said I have called the Chesapeake, Canonsburg, pa.  office that handles my lease and info. but only can get a answering machine this week. Guess its a waiting game.....

A couple of things ... tanks and separators do not confirm production.  Many times this stuff is set up but no pipeline no production.  Have you seen any indication of a pipeline coming to this well .. .construction ... valves etc?   Also even when a well starts producing you may not receive any royalties for three months.  We are patiently waiting for the pipeline to be finished to the well in which we are part of the unit.  Everyday there is a little progress.  Some that we can see and some that we can not see.  Some days it seems like nothing was accomplished.  I swear on Monday no one was working at any of the wells along this pipeline route and today they were at all of them.  Today I actually saw pipe and not just people moving the same dirt over and over it seems.

Yes it is in production.
