If it would work for left behind what about a virgin find? Hmm

GOR = Gas Oil Ratio as confirmed by others who post here.
Wondering how / if GOR relates to viscosity ?
Thank you pg guy.

I have no specific data on permeability, but the impression I have is that even with more normal reservoir pressures it would be difficult to achieve adequate flow of crude oil from most areas.  We are all aware of well results with strong liquids flow in higher pressured areas (translate: the gas liquids and condensate window).

It is kind of a double whammy as the play goes west:  The hydrocarbons are less "cooked", so that the crude is relatively heavier, more viscous, and resistant to flow; and the progressively shallower formation going westward results in less and less pressure to drive the crude from the matrix.

Please specifically talk to us about reservoir pressure and viscosity characteristics of the ' Kibler ' well which some have termed as ' Halcon's Gusher ' and it's ' westwardness '.

Sorry - I have no info about Kibler, and my previous comments pretty well exhaust my (limited) knowledge, if even that much is accurate.  My comments are general statements from impressions received in a lot of relatively non-technical conversations and from trade-show presentations, and in no way represent the depth of knowledge and understanding held by professionals working in the field, on these specific matters  -  How's that for a disclaimer?

Great !
And since I inquired / only asked the questions; my disclaimer is even better !
Thanks pg guy.

The pertinent information about the science of the Kibler well isn't really available to the public.  HK has no reason to disclose any of that and as far as I know they haven't.  Further, reservoir pressure in the area of that particular well is hard to even estimate because the IP was only for a few hours and the current production pace is choked.  So the answer is that nobody--outside of the engineers and execs at HK--have any real idea of what's going on.

Got it.
Thanks Marcus.

They have pull 4 additional permits at the Kibler site so they must like what they see so far!!! I don't believe Halcon has pulled 5 permits at any of their other sites in NE Ohio or NW PA

bruce c ,

We tend to agree with your perspective.

If you pick up on any new info. on the Kibler well please share.

Thanks much.

Marcus,

Since you were the last one yesterday to write on my post, the "1000 acre auction."  Did you or I write something wrong to cause GMS to take the post down?

No idea.  I thought it was a good discussion about value and the awkward market pricing of auctions.

Thanks markus . Keith says i was promoting my company.
