IT SEEMS THAT CHK USED THE SURVEY MAPS FROM THE COURTHOUSE TO FORM A UNIT .THE PROBLEM IS I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE MAP IS INCORRECT.THE PLAT MAP SHOWS THEM GOING THROUGH THE TIP OF MY LAND WHEN IT ACTUALLY GOES RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER OF MY LAND.SEEMS LIKE AN HONEST MISTAKE BY CHK BUT HOW DO I CORRECT THIS MISTAKE?

Chesapeake and all O&G companies do their own surveying for ODNR. It is a required part of the permitting process. Each well has its own survey done and submitted with the permit application. It shows ODNR that set back requirements are met. The actual production unit can be a single one of these but more often they are combined in 640 - 1280 acres units so 3-6 wells together. Have you seen the unit acre drawing for the well unit you are in on ODNR? You say you know that the production unit map on file is incorrect but how do you know that? Did you receive a declaration of pooled unit from Chesapeake and it does not match? I say call Canton office and ask them to clarify if you have two different maps. The people working there are all human. They mistype, mispell, etc like the rest of ud. Our lease had a mistake. The acres we own on our deed which we gave them a copy of was not the acreage they wrote on the lease. We brought it to their attention and they corrected it.
