I have been hearing of companys offering $12000, $13000 even $15000/ acre to buy mineral rights. So far I haven't been able to find out who is making these offers. If you've received an offer in this range could you please tell me who made it? Thanks.

It will peak then decline like anything else. I am pulling trigger at 20k myself. Last offer was 15,500.

Sam,
I hope you are correct, but I can tell you at least from my royalty statement that number doesn't hold up, and supposedly I am supposed to be in one of the better units drilled so far, so they claim. That would mean in a typical 640 acre unit the O&G company could expect to produce $448,000,000.00 gross income over life of pad. If the O&G company drilled 4 wells on a pad at 9.5 million a well and in theory if every landowner had a true 20% royalty the O&G company could still expect gross earnings of $320,400,000 over life time of wells. And these companies are offering 10,000 - 15,000 an acre. Like I have been saying they no more than we do, obviously!

I agree, you are right on the money with this.

Some wells are paying $150... an acre.. per day....times 50 acres... equals $7500...

Times 30 days equals  .....$225,000 a MONTH....!!!!!!!

$10 an acre per day... is lowest that would be paid..

.that's $500 a day....times 30 days..

.equals....$15,000 a MONTH...

$ per DAY per ACRE.. per month... easier to figure....

Mike

Mike your not making my decision any easier. But thAt's some awesome numbers

How do you know this? Just curious.

If you get paid.. are you reading that some companies aren't paying any royalties?

Well when you have very little acreage and you have to agree with another party thats not very cooperative on leasing then makes selling seem the better choice!

WOW!! In what area?

The most recent offer I got in Pennsylvania was $3000/ acre

landrights is correct!   in northwest beaver county...one buyer...no competition and they are giving dismal take it or leave it offers!   a lot of leases are up this year.   I think chk is going to dump a lot of leases in this area.  time will tell!

Hi Steve, I live in Hookstown, PA.  15050 and Bounty offered me $6,000.00 per acre for my 78 acre farm.  This for selling my mineral rights. All or a part.  They sent me a contract but I have not sent it back. Two years ago Bounty offered me $500.00 per acre.  Hope this helps.  Good Luck to you !
