I have 60 acres in Eastern Crawford County and own all OGM's.  This Property is held by production (1980 lease) by Range Resources and has one straight gas well on the property.  The well is not very productive now but Range will keep it perking as long as they can because the lease expires when it no longer produces.  I have been approached by a landman representing Mountaineer Minerals, LLC. asking if I would sell my OGM's to them.  He is aware that the property is held by production.

I am just starting to research this proposition and welcome any thoughts on the value of these rights or any other thoughts on the subject.

'Thank you.

Mike.

Jim, I appreciate your thoughts and curiosity but it seems you're wanting more than just opinions.  If that's the case I think blogs is a tough spot to find facts.

I am licensed to practice real estate in OH and PA. I am educated with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. And lastly I am absolutely protected and insured within the realm of the private business sector in PA.  I'm not sure why those things are needed to validate my opinion on a public forum but I'm more than happy to elaborate for you.

I don't think I've ever claimed to be smarter than others or have more expertise.  I've simply stated my opinion based on what I know and what I have seen in regards to buying and selling minerals in western PA.  I too hope Crawford minerals are more valuable that my statement of $650/acre and I was using that figure very loosely to indicate the offer of $6500/acre was, in my humble opinion, unrealistic.

I've worked with a lot of nice families and I've never been accused of sugar coating anything.  Too many people telling landowners what they want to hear just to get them to sign something or buy into a scam is a major problem out there today.

No harm taken.

It's neither Jim, but if you'd like to meet up or speak on the phone to discuss how my business operates and more specifics as to my credentials, I'm more than willing to discuss those things with you as a professional and potential client.

I'm not sure if you're asking these things to determine whether or not if you'd like to speak to me about working together or if your intentions are something other than that.

Apologies if my opinion of a $6500/acre offer in Crawford for HBP acres has offended you.

 J. Kinney , please email me your contact information; esekerak@tbscc.com . I am a Pa. real estate broker, State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser  and  landowner. I would be interested in speaking with you. (Please note I do own some interests in OGMs in Crawford Co. and I am not offended by your opinions).Thank you.
