I am seeing very little permit activity in Green Township in Harrison County, when compared to other townships in the county. I am curious about the reason/reasons behind this. Any thoughts from other members? I inadvertently initially posted this to the entire site, hopefully it goes into the Harrison County discussions this time. Sorry about the duplication.

My guess is that they are moving the rigs South from Carroll Co. to Harrison (German Twp) followed by Green Twp.

part of our well will be hitting green .part of our farm is in green twp

Unfortunately German, Green, and Short Creek townships are in the dry gas window. Almost all of the drilling is in the townships to the west, where NGLs are available. When the price of methane is in the $5-$6 range, you will see much more activity in the eastern townships. Chesapeake stated recently that will be drilling more wells in the dry gas areas in the future.

Hope so

Shower Bath,

The precise dry gas to wet gas window does not follow township lines north/south.  Wells have been creeping further east in Harrison with very good NGL production.  I agree that the focus of drilling is for guaranteed NGL areas, but we should not assume production results until we see 5-6 wells with consistent production data throughout each townships.  Production results could vary considerable with drilling and fracing techniques in the same area.
