Anyone heard anything new coming in the near future for the Belmont County area?

Not sure if you mean just anything, or O&G etc. there is a CVS going in across from the exxon in St. C
I must agree, but it's quite difficult to tell what's going on because O&G and not :p
Catt,
I think it is interesting that the O&Gs are testing to see if the Marcellus is viable in Belmont, and not just along the river. Gulfport is going to drill one of the Swallie wells into the Marcellus in Kirkwood township and in Richland township both Hess (the Porterfield well) and XTO (the Cook well) are listed as Marcellus. It would be great if both the Utica and Marcellus pan out for Belmont (and possibly very eastern Guernsey).
Just looked at the permits for the two Swallie wells and they both utica/point pleasant. Is this something you heard about? Have 20 + acres in this unit just hope they drill more than two laterals for a 640 acre unit.
Rob,
I had read about the Swallie going to both the Utica and Marcellus somewhere and then I saw a permit for one Marcellus well on the ODNR permit site. Although the Marcellus well name does have the same name as one of the two Utica wells named in the permits. If you go to Ohio DNR well permits web site you can check on the Marcells well permits. The Swallie is listed in the Marcellus Cumulative report. I hope this is accurate and that they are going to both the Marcellus and Utica. Two producing strata would be fantastic for you guys. Good Luck.
Wheeling Intelligencer today's headline says Rice leased more acreage from the Belmont County Commissioners.
I read $8200 per acre!

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
