Are the (upcoming shortly) Keeneyville wells the only Utica wells currently anticipated for Tioga County? Have any Utica wells already been drilled in the county, and if so where?

I don't want to be a Tioga Gazillionaire but a Potter Co. send my checks to P.O. Box Isla Mujeres:) I will pick them up on my golf cart after i get off the beach

Well fer shure, Joe, portions of Potter County also appear to be in "Beverly Hillbilly" territory where the Utica is concerned!
Permalink Reply by Lynn Wigglesworth on October 1, 2014 at 5:36am I just want to see a royalty check (for any amount) in my lifetime. I'm in Delmar Township, a couple miles west of Wellsboro. Leased, but not in a unit. I'm about 10 miles south of the Sharrett and Neal wells; is that a good thing?
Permalink Reply by James Young on October 6, 2014 at 7:43am Probably not. I'm a bit skeptical of SWEPI doing much more in that area of the County for quite awhile. I've seen very little activity on any of the well units that are already declared and currently ... Held by (NON) Production, (there's a term anyone with common sense would have to explain to me) other than to be re-claimed when the DEP E&S permit runs out and then deserted for years..... I think their schedule is full-up with the Liberty area, finishing some wells around Mainesburg and nailing down some Utica plays in the north central area of the County.... Their lease offers are sure low-ball, but it seems that no other viable Company is really interested at this time...

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
