Anybody know what's going on with the 4 wells that they didn't plug?

ODNR has all these wells as status "producing", but nothing is being produced.

A Devon/Marathon partnership in Ohio doesn't sound horribly impossible. Both of the midstreams  work well together geographically in the state. ENLK and MPLX are JV'd in Louisiana now. MLPX had discussed a crude oil gathering system across the Devon acreage in Ohio. Im not sure where that is currently. MPLX recent Open Season for the Cornerstone pipeline is married with additional Utica Build-out projects.

Thanks Upstream!

Dexter, you say" Wayne County makes zero sense at almost any price"........ the wayne county well hasn't been plugged. How much sense does it make for Marathon buying into all Devons  wells and acreage in Michigan when every single well Devon drilled has been plugged?

It makes no sense.  There's obviously something else going on, I can't see what it is yet.

This Devon/Michigan deal makes zero sense. Where's the facts? I can't find anything on it. Believe me I hope it's true for the landowners. 0 for 8 on wells drilled? Shocking! Landowner beat down?
The latest

Roscommon County 2/10/15
Devon assigns Marathon 89 leases

Gladwin County 2/17/2015
Devon assigns Marathon 467 leases
Including the plugged Cronk, Greer and Wiley wells

Is Marathon the player behind the Wells in SE Tusc. County that are using GASFRAC?

Did they figure something out?

Are they "land grabbing" before releasing the info?

Purely speculation here but I could see a scenario where Devon couldn't find a buyer at a certain price and let Marathon in for a "song". Maybe they saw something in the data room that warranted another round of capital in MI. Get some bits in the ground and its a win win for the landowners.
This whole deal makes me think Devon had no intention to produce in Michigan or Ohio. Just a bunch of science projects to sell.

Maybe working for the Chinese?

Upstream, your slide showing the crude oil gathering system seems to be the existing Ohio Oil Gathering line that runs from Holmes county through Coshocton to the Blackrun rail station that is owned by Devon/Enlink.
Interesting. Enlinks recent open season mentions the possibility of connecting points on Holmes and Coshocton. Maybe Marathon and Devon are JV here too.

MPLX Cornerstone/Utica Buildout Option 2 could be the Crude Oil Gathering System from the slide. ESH is the MPLX line that runs through the DVN acreage. Persons with access through the Confidentiality Agreement would have further details. Way beyond my pay scale.
