Have you heard of anyone absolutely refusing to sign a gas/oil lease? If so, what was the the end result? Did the gas company win out? Trust me, putting the money aside, I'm sure there are many who would do things differently now compared to just a few years ago. I would have been ever so tempted to just tell them to pass me by and I'm being totally serious. Sometimes you have to go with your principles and don't let the money control things.

Given the extent to which gas companies rip off landowners who actually have a lease, I can scarcely contemplate the fraud and theft which surely will be perpetrated against the unleased among us.

You may be correct.  However, in Ohio, if you are forced pooled, the ODNR is the one that sets the forced in terms.  Seems to me that the oil & gas company may be a little more nervous to make enemies with the ODNR than an individual landowner.

Would love to hear from a forced pooled landowner and what they are seeing in royalties?  I do not think there is much data yet because not that many landowners have taken the forced pooled option.

What about HB8 that recently was rammed through the House with not one ''no vote''.  Better look into the wording of it.
