Any other fellow Belmont County landowners still looking for a lease?

Just wonder if any Belmont Co. landowners have had any luck securing a solid lease for their property yet?  Met some very helpful and nice organizers for the HCLOG & ALOV groups and submitted initial paperwork to join their group "B" and secure a lease with Chesepeake.  However, Chesepeake did not take any land/leases in Belmont Co.  Was just curious what others are learning or doing. We are in no hurry, just curious to hear what others have learned?  Seems to be pretty quiet in Belmont Co. now.

I'm an absentee landowner in Northern Belmont Co. that is looking to lease, and all the outfits

that I have contacted said no interest right now.  Is that what everyone else is hearing?

Let me know,

Thanks

yes, seems to be the consenses. Had alot of lease offers and companies contacting us at first.....then nada! I think the problem in Belmont is not enough big chunks of contigueos acreage for the companies to put together big lease tracts. To much land already tied up by coal leases and state owned wildlife lands. Just my thoughts anyways. I think if the state ends up leasing the wildlife areas then you will see a push to lease individual properties. Until then I think it will be a waiting game to see if these wells start producing. If the wells do produce and the state does lease, then that can only make future lands worth more to lease in the future. Sit back and see what happens.

I'm sure there are more than a few of  us that got pushed out of the ALOV deal.  But I've heard that Bob Rae, head honcho @ ALOV, is going to start working on another group for those left out, once he's done with the current deal.  That's what I'm hoping for anyway.  Signed with Wellington last year and never got anything from them.  I think a group, dealing directly with the REAL driller(s) is the way to go.  Man, there are a lot of middlemen out there beating the bushes.

We are located in Tuscarawas township......Ches...they offered us 4 c an acre..12% royalities...I asked about Carroll county group b GETTING 2250 AN ACRE...hE TOLD ME THERE IS MORE competition in that county,,,,,I think us landowners should form a group like ALOV,,,That sure worked out for them.....

I am in southern Belmont county and will finally be able to seek a lease in a few days. I had to clear up some oil & gas rights issues with my property and they should be finalized at the end of the month (March). I have heard of people in my area signing what appear to be legitimate lease offers but I have yet to see any of them actually get paid the signing bonus being offered. I would like to hear from anyone who has signed a lease offer in southern Belmont county.

James,

Could you provide more details on the Middlebourne meeting.  Location and time?  Would like to attend.

What about Richland Twp Belmont Co. landowners?  Why would

you leave Richland Twp out?  We're not HBP and our properties are

situated, formation wise, in a better position than all those western

counties!

Anything for Washington Twp, Belmont County landowners?

I have property in Richland Twp that I would like to lease.  Let me know

if you come across any solid contacts.

Thanks,

I have property in Washington township but have been going to meetings where Smith and Goshen townships have been meeting about every 2 weeks, next meeting is tomorrow May 5 @ 7 pm at the Centerville fire Dept in Centerville, Oh, have been getting a very good education about the whole well drilling business going to these meetings
I am replying to my mistake I made on the date of meeting is April 6 @ Centerville fire station in Centerville, Ohio not May 5, sorry for the mixup.
