Hello all,
I have not been here in awhile and need the latest info on guernsey co along Laughman rd. I have been getting many people interested in purchasing my mineral rights, which leads me to believe something in about to happen. I have heard nothing from any drillers, any thoughts?

Remember the most important thing is that you want to get leased. The Bonus money is not the most important but a good GROSS royalty because that will benefit you for years to come. And at a minimum pay a lawyer to look at the lease for any red flags especially in HOW the "Royalty Clause" is worded. Good Luck
I agree with Dott that you need a good attorney to look at any offers before you sign them. I have land in the SE corner of Guernsey and used KWGD. My initial offer from Purple/Ascent was $3,000/15%. I got KWGD involved right away and got a solid lease and $4,000/17% gross this spring. I know of someone else in the area that received an even better offer when they were using Jim Milleson from OhioAcres4U, who I believe is a broker but has attorneys working for him. This person does have a significant amount of acreage so maybe that is why they received such a good offer (not sure). Ascent and a company called Tiburon were making offers to this person. Ascent seems to be very selective in the parcels they are looking at. I am thinking that they are primarily interested in acres that they plan on drilling in the near future.
Yes. There are two nominations to drill under Salt Fork that show drilling pads west of I77.
I know of someone who reportedly has been paid for the right to place a pad on his land just west of 77.
Ohio, I had the only replies and said that there are two nominations to drill under Salt Fork that show the proposed drilling pads to be located on the west side of I77 with the laterals crossing under the highway to get to the park. I have been told of a person that has signed a lease west of I77 to allow that to happen.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
