Would the forum members please share current natural gas prices as reflected in your royalty checks as well as deductions taken out by the operator?

Just received the first check from South West since their buying our wells in WV in January 2015.
Funny thing is the check statement has zero description on what we were paid for.
They are insisting on us going online to view details.
Beginning of a new story...
Oct,$2.05/mcf/Nov,$2.19/mfc/Dec 2014,$2.80/mcf CHK kept around 30% of the royalty due for gathering/processing. Then the price went down to $1.80/mcf for January, probably just ripping us off with their cohorts at Access Midstream. They kept 62.3% from Januarys royalty, which % would go up with the lower price and slightly less production. Regardless, They are still ripping us off in Pa.
There should be a law against that kind of deduction charge and the Nat Gas price should closer resemble the Henry Hub price which has not been below $2.45 for a very long time.
Feb prod. paid in april from Rice 1.60 per mcf still not getting pd. oil and LGN AS CHESP.
payed us before Rice took over. and 30% deductions.
When you deliver your gas at Henry Hub you can receive Henry Hub price, it will cost though and $2.45 HH price is not an encouraging price. Historically, Appalachian gas received a premium over HH for being closer to the market. Now the production center is the Appalachian Basin, saturating the northeast market, and prices are discounted to pay for getting the gas out. More pipeline leading out to other markets are needed.

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
