Does anyone know of a group of land owners whose land is held by production that have united to form a block to negotiate leases when asked to be put in larger drilling units? My neighbors and I feel the need to form a group and would like to benefit from the experience of others. All advice pro and con is welcome.

Are you held by Oxford? If so we can get something going.
We're held by several companies, large and small. The things we have in common is that we are held by production, our unit sizes are limited, we are contiguous to each other on farms larger than 75 acres and are in the wet gas area. We think we are holding a pretty good hand as long as we stick together.
There's a law firm doing this in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Where are you located?

Hello Marcus. My land is in Trumbull Co. Can you name the law firm? There are several farms around us that would like to look into such a thing. We are HBP, but have small acerage drilling units on our old, outdated leases. Just as the leases are non functional for Evervest, and they will need some wiggle room to drill horizontal wells, we would like a bit of wiggle room toward a reasonable signing bonus and better royalty percentage.

This is an excellent idea. If everyone works together and is very patient you may be able to get a much better deal than any one landowner working alone.
