Back again...just keeping those in Ashtabula County up-to-date on what's happening with Wayne Twp..  I was on the ODNR Well Search site today looking to see if Beland's drilling permit had been approved yet (so far, no...), but was checking on the County Engineer filings and found 2 engineer reports for the proposed wells on Sodom Rd. - 1 for a vertical, 1 for a plug back and horizontal.  They're listed as Magyar #9 well...unit size is roughly 694 acres.  Beusa will be doing the drilling.
Also, landowners in the area got a letter from Beland detailing that they will be in the area soon...

Thanks for the update Ed.
Keep us informed.

Yes, I live in this area and I haven't received any letter or info from any source that Beland will be in this area soon. How am I missing this info?

Where exactly in Wayne Twp. are you located Marilyn?  Is your property already under an existing lease?  If you're in the area BlackRidge targetted for Beland (Rt. 193 to about 1 mile west of Rt. 46, Rt. 322 to Ashtabula/Trumbull County line), then you should have heard from them several times over the past 1/2 year unless your acreage is already leased...

I live 1 mile north of rts 322 and 193. And my land is free and clear. I know everybody else in this area leased with blackridge.  I did not.

Hmmmm...my understanding (also reviewed leasing filings on the Ashtabula Recorders site to be sure) is that BlackRidge didn't lease north of Rt. 322 for Beland (except for a few small parcels that they had to lease in order to get landowners with large acreage to lease)...

I DO know that BlackRidge may be back to lease additional acreage depending on well results of the new well they'll be drilling in August...

Ed, I know several of my neighbors signed with Blackridge even to the north of me. I do live in Wayne Township and I haven't been approached as of yet. I was told they did all of Wayne township and Colebrook. But no further than that. But I'm in no hurry. I just want to do the right thing. And if that means waiting awhile, then that's what I'll do. It has been quit confusing and you hear a lot of different things so I just keep praying for wisdom. I also know that Blackridge took shallow rights along with deep well rights. I don't know if  I'm willing to do that. So as of now I will keep trying to gather info to make the right choices.

Too bad this good news couldn't be coming from an American company.  But hey, good news is good news.
