Things are starting to progress in Beaver County:

The permit for the dehydration plant at the Thompson well area has finally been approved. It will be interesting to see what all they actually build there.

A permit was filed for the Rolling Acres Gathering line  last month.

Reports are that a ROW (hopefully a gathering line) has been started on Georgetown road nearby the junction with Louthan rd. Anyone have info on this?

The permit for the South Beaver (as in the Southern part of Beaver county, not South Beaver Twp) gathering line is making progress to being approved.

Anyone have other info?

Got a check for shut in royalties for Tharp and Burdick the other day, effective some point in July (woohoo, another $1/acre!). Neighbor called and was told they don't have any buyers for the gas.

I was over at the thompson site a week or so ago and there was no gas being sold that day as the machinery wasn't making any noises like it does when they are selling. Sounds right what your neighbor said.

I drove back into Kirkwood pad last night.  they are just about ready for rig.  should be anyday now!  lots of pipelines being laid.  just gotta look around.  they will be boring under 51 soon at the farm where the casino was supposed to go.

thanks for the update on the Kirkwood well

Just found out that CHK has filed for 7 more inactive well permits for our area, including the unit I'm in. It would be nice to know the method of their madness and what this really means to the production timeline.

listen to the conference call on chk.com.  it will give you a better understanding of what going on!

Sounds like CHK production is on hold in most of Beaver County until the price of gas goes back up and/or the pipelines are in place.

In a related note, Chesapeake sold no gas from the Burdick unit in May.  Royalties have stopped, at least for now.  Maybe they'll start up again when the dehydration plant is completed, but if the lessors have to pay for the plant as part of the gathering fees, the checks won't be very big.

Does anyone know the particulars of Markwests pipeline project in northern beaver county?

trapper...I don't know the status of the markwest but  chk just started the north phase.  working from the powell well south connecting all the drilled wells..think they all are going to the Thompson well.   do you still trap?

We're trying to trap some raccoons that are invading my wife's kitty barn and cat fence.

Good to hear CHK is connecting the wells up your way!

Thanks Mark. Good news for Cheaspeke folks!

As a matter of fact I do still set a few traps.
