Comment by Todd on January 15, 2012 at 2:05pm George, the Utica is wetter to the west and dryer to the east. Carroll County, about 25 miles to our west, is extremely wet. Beaver County is basically dry. Hopefully, we have some wetness underneath us! :)
Comment by George Bailey on January 10, 2012 at 5:44pm Since we are going to be drilled in the Utica formation, from what I've read, there will not only be dry gas, but wet gas and Oil. Chk has release some early number from some of the Ohio wells: http://www.chk.com/News/Articles/Pages/1610725.aspx and here is a calculator for both Gas and Oil: http://www.shalebiz.com/pages.php?page=6
Looks promising
Comment by Todd on January 10, 2012 at 4:14pm Look at the gas production on the Marcellus wells in Marshal County George.
Now our Utica production will be superior to Marshall's Marcellus.
Comment by Todd on January 10, 2012 at 4:05pm George, those numbers are small for gas production based on gas royalty calculations.
Comment by Len Bywaters on January 3, 2012 at 8:35pm George, I think this well is south of Mountaineer Track on the approximately 300 acres that used to be owned by the sand and gravel company. I was told, by a landman about 18 months ago, that it is just a vertical well in to the Marcellus. I think Chesapeake bought Buckeye's leases, but am not 100% sure on that.
Comment by George Bailey on January 3, 2012 at 5:04pm It appears that there is an active gas and oil well on Mountaineer land. You can find it here: https://apps.dep.wv.gov/oog/wellsearch_new.cfm I searched for the Marcellus wells in Hancock. Here is the link for the 2010 production numbers. https://apps.dep.wv.gov/oog/wellapisearch_new.cfm?api=2900137 . It's issued to Buckeye Oil. Definately some interesting numbers. Not sure where this well is at. My property is on the opposite side of 208 . Any feedback would be appreciated.
Comment by Todd on December 27, 2011 at 2:30pm What's the current offer y'all?
Comment by George Bailey on December 8, 2011 at 5:28pm Wanted to check on who has already signed in the 208/white oak area.
Comment by Todd on November 22, 2011 at 3:39pm Anybody know what the status of the Allison farm well is? I heard CHK will be drilling 6 wells from the pad. Any idea which directions they will be most likely drilling and how far?
Comment by Todd on October 23, 2011 at 1:35pm I'll answer my own question.... Landowners meeting on October 27th at the Hancock County Senior Center conducted by Jeff Rokisky, ESQ.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
