People should know that there is a propose pipeline in the works that would pass through Lewis County.  It's called the Southeast Reliability Pipeline Project, or the Dominion Southwest Reliability Project, depending on the news reports you find.  It's in response to  a request for proposals from Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas.  There's another pipeline planned in response to the same request for proposals.  It would pass through the eastern panhandle.  I think it would be better for West Virginia to get this pipeline through Lewis, Upshur, and the other southern parts of the state.  Pipeline right of ways are pretty good money for surface owners.

You are on the right track. $100 per acre, tell them to call back when they are serious.
"EQT cannot come up with lease they say we signed a couple of years ago that amended old lease for Marcellus shale".
They say you signed, but did you ? If you did, just keep hoping they never find it. This is a hugh break and let it be a sign !
Royalties, no less than 18 %.
Be sure to keep your eye on the forced pooling issue. If enacted, you will lose your negotiating rights !

Received Oil and Gas Lease (Paid-up) from Mountaineer Land  Services retained by EQT for 30 acre tract (out of 800 owned). Offer of $100.00 an acre seems way to low as compared to what I have read on this site. No mention of royalties. Have forwarded to Attorney in Weston. Map with plots they had sent was a laugh, because it contained roads and housing plots that are not there (unless the cattle have done something).  EQT wants to drill at least one well at site not far from this area. Dawson has illegally been on property and we want to sue them (turned over to Attorney already). EQT cannot come up with lease they say we signed a couple of years ago that amended old lease for Marcellus shale. What about Utica play that is deeper? Any advice or words of wisdom would be helpful.
